Abstract: Based on the current teaching of solid state physics in school of materials science and engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University，and combined with the characteristics and difficulties in study of solid state physics，this paper provids some ideas and typical examples on how to visualize the abstract concepts in solid state phyics，which is expected to give reference to the teaching of solid state physics in similar majors.
